Solar Hot Water
SolarCitiStyle install Hills Solar Evacuated Tube Solar Hot Water Systems , the latest high-efficiency technology, which are now used overseas in millions of systems per year. SoloarCitiStyle is proud to be a major supplier of this new technology, in association with Hills Industries, suppliers of the Hills Solar range.
We are all familiar with the flat-plate solar hot water systems seen on roofs all over Australia, collecting the radiant heat from the sun to heat water. The collection plates are flat, which produces one limitation to efficiency- they can only operate at maximum efficiency when the sun is directly overhead at midday. At other times, the sun's rays striking the collector at varying angles, reducing efficiency.
Hills Solar Esteem and Exceed Evacuated Tube Solar Hot Water Systems overcome this problem. Because the collector consists of a series of tubes, the sun's rays are perpendicular to the tubes for most of the day, allowing the system to operate at high efficiency for much longer than flat-plate units. The diagram on the left illustrates this.
Another advantage of the evacuated tube technology, is that the weight problems caused by standard flat plate systems are eliminated.
Most flat plate systems weigh over 200kg. With an integrated 300l. water tank, this can place a 500-plus kilogram load on a roof- often requiring expensive modification. A standard 22-tube Hills Solar system weighs just over 80 kg on your roof, making it easy to position and instal.

Just How Efficient Is Evacuated tube technology?
Evacuated tubes are far better at exchanging heat into water than flat plate technology. As the temperature of the water increases, the ability for any system to exchange that heat decreases. Evacuated tubes suffer much less from this issue.

SolarCitiStyle has launched its new 190 watt Monocrystalline Panel giving our customers greater outputs at lower prices due to the fewer number of panels required to standard wattages. An added benefit of the larger powered panels that SolarCitiStyle uses, is the smaller amount of North facing roof required compared to our competitor's products.
Inverters
At SolarCitiStyle we use only the tried and tested electrical inverters. Xantrex, Sunny Boy or Aero Sharp have been used with great success in our harsh Australian environments. These products come with ten and five years warranties respectively.
